Treasures from the Archives

A celebration of the Thomas Jefferson Foundation's Centennial

This exhibit tells the story of the Foundation's work to preserve and interpret Monticello over the past 100 years, using materials from the Foundation's own archives.

This is a story of the many people who have worked to care for this historic property and share it with the public. As the Foundation looks forward to the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026 and beyond, and continues to break new ground to tell a more complete story, we invite you to join us as we reflect on our first 100 years.
